SASSU session concludes
KIPHIRE/NATSAR, JAN 10 (NPN): Singti Area Sangtam Students’ Union (SASSU) general session which was held from January 6 concluded on January 9 at Natsar village. C. Kipili Sangtam MLA, chairman NSMDC was the chief guest. Kipili exhorted the students to maintain competitive spirit in order to achieve their goals. He also advised students to live under law stating law shapes human life to live with the modern society. Kipili also donated a sum of `50,000/- trophy and sports goods towards the union. The chief guest was accompanied by C. M Tsanglao DC Kiphire, EAC Sitimi, police officer, public leaders from Kiphire district. President of Singti Area Sangtam Students’ Union has meanwhile expressed gratitude to well- wishers, elders of the area and Natsar village council for their tireless effort in making the general session a grand success. Forms for agri and allied prog
DIMAPUR: Dean, SASRD, Nagaland University, Medziphema, RC Nayak, informed that ‘cash sale of information bulletin with application form’ for 16th AIEE-UG and PG-2011 degree programmes in agriculture and allied science for the academic session 2011-12 are being made available.The dean stated the bulletin would be available for sale during December 27 to February 15 against cash payment from NU, SASRD, Medziphema sale counter.Forms for AIEE-UG-2011 would be sold at `425 for general, OBC, UPS category and `225 for SC, ST, PH category. AIEE-PG-2011 forms would be available at `525 for general, OBC, UPS category and `275 for SC, ST, and PH category.
Pass book verification
DIMAPUR: All savings bank account holder (SB/RD/TD/MIS/PPF) under Pfütsero sub post office, Pfütsero have been requested to submit the passbook to sub postmaster, Pfütsero for balance verification. Assistant superintendent of post offices Kohima sub-division R. Kumar has informed passbook should be handed over to SPM, Pfütsero duly obtaining a receipt. Last date for submitting the passbook is February 5.
Taxi, drivers ID registration
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Dimapur unit informed that yearly taxi and driver’s identity card registration are being issued and would continue till March 1. All members have been informed to do so within the stipulated time. Meanwhile, ANTA Dimapur unit would be organising Life Insurance Policy for five years to all drivers under Dimapur unit. The association has informed all owners and drivers to cooperate with the association. Further, Nagaland Taxi Association Dimapur unit on January 8 appointed K. Kughashe Yeptho as a legal advisor to ANTA to ensure smooth functioning of the association.
KOHIMA: Directorate of Horticulture has informed all horticulture nurserymen who had applied for renewal of registration to collect the certificate on or before January 31 during office hours from the directorate with a payment of `500.
New school of music
DIMAPUR: A new school of music -cum-recording studio at Purana Bazaar would be inaugurated on January 15, 11am. Ababe Ezung, I&P secretary, Kohima chamber of Commerce and XL vice president would be attending the inaugural function as chief guest.
KOHIMA: Baptist Church Meriema (BCM) would be celebrating 100 years of existence from January 14-16 at Pheriezou, Meriema village. Speakers for the centenary include Rev. Keviyiekielie Linyü, executive director, Angami Baptist Church Council, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, pastor Koinonia Baptist Church; Rev. Kiezotuo Zhale, senior pastor, Baptist Mission Church and Keduolhoulie Shüya, pastor Baptist Church Meriema.
KOHIMA: The 41st Biennial conference of Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) will be held on January 15 at Tsiemekhuma village local ground. F.P. Solo, commissioner and secretary, Higher and Technical Education will be the chief guest while Dr. Hovithal Sothu, state coordinator, Disaster Managemnt Cell ATI and Dr. Keyikhrie Kire, conservator of forest, will be the resource persons.
KOHIMA: General meeting of Old Aree Village (OAV) has been convened on January 28 at 8am at village Panchayat hall. All members have been informed to attend the meeting.
KOHIMA: Christian Revival Church Chiechama (CRCC) would be celebrating its golden jubilee on January 15 and 16 on the theme “Thus far has the Lord helped us”. Speakers of the jubilee include Zhau Sanchu, director Power Praise Ministries Dimapur, Rev. Dr. Luozilie Sanchu, executive secretary ACRCC and Pastor Diezenyü Sopfü, CRC Sovima. All members have been invited to attend the celebration.
