Kaito calls for utilising government funds judiciously

Minister for road and bridges Kaito Aye said government funds like NREGA should be judiciously utilized by the villages.
He called upon village leaders to fight corruption and not to become selfish.
Kaito was speaking as the chief guest at Lozaphuhu Students’ Union (LSU) 49th session on Friday at village junction, Lozaphuhu village, Phek district.
He also called for a sustainable economy and said natural resources should not be recklessly destroyed.
Stressing on the motto “Marching for a better tomorrow” Kaito Aye called upon students to march forward as per the motto of the union and added that marching forward should become the slogan for Nagas.
He also encouraged the students to excel in studies.
Kaito observed the village had produced good leaders and gazetted officers and stressed it should instill a sense of humility and generosity instead of selfishness.
He also pointed out that there should be socio-cultural exchange with students of other tribes in order to become acquainted with each other better.
He stated that village unity was paramount to ensure the existence of peace in the society and where there is peace and unity, development would follow automatically.
“Nagas are a small community and therefore every effort should be made to fight division and rather to maintain unity amongst the Nagas”, he added.
Upon his arrival at the village by chopper, he was received at village local ground by student leaders, village elders and public leaders with Chiekhutso ex-MLA among others.
Also speaking as the guest speaker, Razouseyi, Principal, GHSS, Chazouba, advised the students to be sincere in their duties and have proper aim in life.
Stating that root of education is bitter but its fruit sweet, the principal urged students to respect parents, teachers and elders to receive blessing and be successful in life.
The programme began with invoking of God’s blessing by Kevengoi, Pastor, Lozaphuhu Baptist Church, followed by presidential address and welcome speech by Shiekhozo, president, Lozaphuhu Students’ Union.
