Army recruitment rally from Jan 21- 30

: An army recruitment Rally at Koirangei Imphal East (Manipur) would be held from January 21 to 30, at Old Air Field location, Koirangei Imphal (East), Manipur.
Recruitment is open for male candidates for soldier general duties (GD), soldier clerk (CLK)/soldier store-keeper technical (SKT), soldier (technical), soldier nursing assistant (NA) and for re-enrolment into the defence security corps (DSC) category.
The recruitment would also be conducted for sportsmen for all categories and 12+2 candidates of all districts of Nagaland.
Recruitment rally would commence at 6am on January 21 and 22, screening for the rally would be carried out from 6 am to 9am.
On 23 January from 6am to 9am screening would be carried out for soldier (technical), soldier nursing assistant (NA) and for soldier Clk/soldier store-keeper technical (SKT) category for candidates from all districts of Nagaland and Manipur.
From 9am to 10am, screening would be carried out for sons of serving soldiers/ex-servicemen/war widows of serving personnel/ex-servicemen and NCC cadets from all districts of Manipur only for all categories of recruitment; for sportsmen from all districts of Nagaland and Manipur, who have played at the national/state or higher level and for those who have played at the University level and earned 1st/2nd position i.e. either a gold or silver medal, within a period of last two years from the day of screening, for all categories of enrolment; and for re-enrolment into the defence security corps (DSC) category for candidates of Nagaland and Manipur.
Candidates have been advised to be present at the rally accordingly on January 21 from 6am to 9am for candidates from Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Churachandpur districts only, for soldier (GD) category.
On 22 January 2011, from 6am to 9am for candidates from Senapati, Ukhrul, Tamenglong and Chandel districts only, for soldier (GD) category.
On January 23 from 6am to 9am for candidates from all districts of Nagaland and Manipur and for Soldier (Technical), Soldier (NA) and Soldier (Clk) and for Soldier (SKT) Category.
On January 23 from 9am to 10am for sons of serving soldiers/ex-servicemen/war widows of serving personnel and for NCC certificate holders from all districts of Manipur only, for all categories, for sportsmen from all districts of Nagaland and Manipur who have played at the national/state or higher level in any recognized sports discipline and those who have played at the University level and earned 1st/2nd position within two years prior to day of screening for all categories and for re-enrolment into DSC category for candidates of Nagaland and Manipur.
From January 24 to 28 (except 26 January being Republic Day): Medical examination and documentation will be carried out. Medical examination will be conducted only for those candidates who have passed physical fitness tests (PFT), physical measurement tests and whose documents are in order.
On January 30 from 7am onwards: Verification and conduct of written test for all selected medically fit candidates of all categories, excluding Soldier (NA) and DSC categories.
The age/ eligibility conditions for various categories are as follows: For soldier (GD) category, candidates should be between 17 and half yrs to 21yrs of age i.e. candidates should be born not before Jan 21, 1990 and born not after Jul 21, 1993 (both days inclusive) are eligible. The candidates should have passed minimum 8th Class. For soldier (Clk)/Soldier (SKT) category: Candidates should be between 17 and a half yrs to 23 yrs of age i.e. candidates should be born not before Jan 21, 1988 and born not after Jul 21, 1993 (both days inclusive).
The candidates should have passed 10+2 or intermediate exam (in arts, commerce, science stream) with min 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject; they should also have studied and passed English and Maths Accounts Book Keeping at 10th or 12th class level with minimum 40% marks in each subject; If a candidate is a graduate with Maths and English as his subjects in BSc, the stipulation of scoring 40% in class 10th/12th is waived off; In case candidate is a graduate but not having English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping subjects, he should have scored more than 40% marks in English and Maths/Accts/Book at least once in class 10th or class 12th.
20% bonus marks on the marks scored in the written test will be awarded to candidates who have qualified in DOEAC ‘A’ LEVEL certificates in computers (basic computer course) and typewriting.
For Soldier (NA) only: Candidates should be between 17 and a half yrs to 23 yrs of age i.e. candidates should be born not before January 21, 1988 and born not after July 21, 1993, and should who have Passed 10+2/intermediate exam in Science (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) with min 50% marks in aggregate and not less that 40% marks in each subject.
For candidates holding B.Sc. Degree (with Botany/Zoology /Bio Sciences) candidates with simple pass marks are eligible.
For Soldier (Technical): Candidates should be between 17 and a half yrs to 23 yrs of age i.e. candidates should be born not before January 21, 1988 and born not after Jul 21, 1993.
Candidates should have passed 10+2/intermediate exam with Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and English with pass marks in each subject.
