National Voters Day programme: National Voters Day programme would be held on January 25, 11am at DC’s conference hall Dimapur. ADC Sedevikho Khro has informed all political parties, administrative officers and booth level officers under Dimapur district to attend the programme which would be followed by taking of pledge by all officers.
Parade rehearsal: All parade contingents participating at the Republic Day have been directed to report to DDSC stadium on January 15, 7am. Deputy commissioner Maong Aier has informed contingents to report at the venue in time for parade rehearsal.
FGN 59th Tatar Hoho: FGN has informed all regional Midan Peyu’s and Tatars that 59th Tatar Hoho would be convened at the last week of January. Deputy secretary Tatar Hoho FGN Ghuvishe V. Zhimomi has requested all regional head and Tatars to contact 9615398161 and 9862695336 for intimation of venue and date.
Phema Khel day: The 9th Phema Khel Day would be held on January 20, 10am at Puchonpiphie, Jakhama village. Exhortation would be delivered by Dr. N. Norbert Richa, principal, Government College Dimapur and Ashi Khieya, OSD, Finance Department. Election of new office bearers for Khel council and youth society would be held during the function.
KSSU emergency meeting: An emergency meeting of Kohima Sumi Studnets’ Union (KSSU) will be held on January 15 at the residence of its banker at para medical for upcoming SKK conference at Alaphumi village. All executive members have been asked to attend the meeting.
DCC Peren meeting: The first joint meeting of District Congress Committee (DCC) Peren will be held on January 28 at its office. All frontal organizations including ACCC Tening and Peren has been informed to attend the meeting positively. Further all DCC Peren office bearers have been informed to come ahead of the meeting for pre-discussion and necessary arrangements.
FTC Bible quest 2010 result: The result of the open written Bible quest 2010 has been declared and put up on the notice board of FTC Ura Villa colony. All participants have been requested to collect their certificates from the college office. Meanwhile, the open written Bible quest exam on Numbers 1-36 (OT) & gospel of John 1-21 (NT) will be held on August 28, 2011. For further information, contact Rev. SRSA to celebrate golden jubilee: Secheku Range Sports Association (SRSA) would be celebrating its golden jubilee at Chizami local ground from January 17 to 22. Minister for roads & bridges, G. Kaito and MLA & advisor ST, NRE and art & culture, Deo Nukhu would be the chief guest and guest of honour respectively. Vibeilietuo Kets Class I contractor will be the ‘jubilee feast father’.
5th Tening Lun session: The 5th Tening session would be held on January 14 and 15 at Tening village on the theme ‘Arise and march forward’ with ADC Medziphema Sehjang Doungel and deputy superintendent of Police 9th IRB Dibambo as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.The two-day programme highlights would include dance competition and beauty contest. The organising committee of Tening Lun Aruang has appealed to all Tening citizens especially outside dwellers to attend the session. Tening citizens are also requested to attend the programme in traditional attire.
NPF party Kiphire division: All NPF divisional unit office bearers, executive divisional youth wing, women wing, advisory member of the divisional office 59/60 A/C area unit presidents and secretaries have been informed to attend a meeting during central team’s visit on January 19. This was informed through a press note issued by NPF party Kiphire president C. Lichokyu Sangtam.
RUN to fight stigma: The Rengma user network (RUN) formed on March 12 last year to fight stigma and discrimination among the chemical dependent in the society held its 3rd meeting on January 10, 10:30am at the residence of its president Hyusinlo Seb.
KGSU new team: Kuhuboto Ghakhu Students Union (KGSU) has elected its new team of office bearers during its 31st session held on December 27-30 at Vihokhu village. The new team would be headed by Botoi V. Yeptho as president, Khutoi Ayemi as vice president and H. Aboka Zhimomi as the general secretary.
Chairman disqualified: GBs Union Lotsu circle has disqualified its chairman Chuchamo Ovung on grounds of “non-conformist attitude” towards the union. Womomo Ovung has been elected as the new chairman of GBs Union Lotsu circle. This was informed in a press note issued by the newly elected chairman Womomo Ovung and joint secretary Lochamo Odyuo.
TSU condoles: Tenyimi Students’ Union (TSU) Mokokchung has expressed shock on the demise of Kelhouputuo Theünuo, professor of Nagaland University, who passed away on January 10. The union said late Theünuo was a resourceful person who helped the union in many ways. It also conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
DCC to check electoral rolls: As per the directive of AICC with regard to revision of electoral rolls for getting electoral roll pure and defect fee, and to play a role irrespective of whether it is revision or non-revision period, DCC presidents have been requested to appoint and submit names of Booth Level Agent (BLA) at DCC, ACCC and VCC levels. Vice President, NPCC Nillo Rengma has informed that lists of Booth Level Agents (BLA) are to be submitted to NPCC office on or before January 15.
Submission of documents at GHS Purana Bazar: All adhoc employees of GHS Purana Bazar who has completed three years or more have been informed to submit documents to its headmistress on January 20 for onward submission to DSE Kohima. Documents to be submitted are photocopy of first appointment order, latest extension order, all educational mark sheets and one copy each of certificates from HSLC onwards in original and three passport photos.
Ngozubomi Baptist Youth Fellowship: Ngozubomi Baptist Youth Fellowship (NBYF) would be celebrating its youth golden jubilee on January 14-16 on the theme “Shine out of Darkness”. The main speakers are Rev. Ghokuto Chishi, Rev. Kughato, I. Hetoli Chishi, Hoshimu Aomi, and Hukiye Tissicca, Aomi Naga Construction, will be gracing the cultural program. All villagers and well wishers are requested to attend the jubilee celebration.
