Reacting to a news item that appeared in local dailies on January 11 regarding taxi drivers' ID registration, newly elected office bearers of All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Dimapur unit has flayed its out-going office bearers stating they had no authority or jurisdiction to issue directives on behalf of the unit.
A statement issued by newly elected general secretary ANTA, Ananto Zhimomi while refuting the news item, informed all taxi owners/drivers not to entertain any ANTA collections until the out-going office bearers handed over the office/charge to the newly elected members.
He also cautioned that any one found entertaining such collections would be doing so at their own risk.
Further, Zhimomi stated that the newly elected members did not induct any legal advisor for the tenure 2010-13 and that the appointment of K. Kughashe Yeptho by outgoing office bearers as ANTA Dimapur unit legal advisor would be treated as "null and void" as it was done without the knowledge of the new office bearers.
