Seminar on HIV and AIDS

A one day seminar on HIV and AIDS was conducted among the youth and married couples up to the age of 50years. The seminar was conducted at Aliba village on January 12, organized by Aliba village Health Committee under Aliba village council and the resources were Care & Support Society and NMP+, Mokokchung.
The speakers dwelled on different topics like “Understanding HIV and AIDS & Scenario”, “Stigma & Discrimination, Care & Treatment for PLHA”, Prevention of HIV and AIDS among the youth” and “Drug Abuse and its repercussion”.
Around 200 youth and married couples attended the seminar. The group was divided into two categories, one for the youth and the other for married couples. The program included discussion and feedback among the participants followed by voluntary blood testing conducted by C&SS Mobile-ICTC. Around 50 participants volunteered for blood test.
The village Health Committee conveyed gratitude to Care & Support Society and NMP+ for their service rendered to the committee during the seminar.
