Mass social work in Kohima on January 15

DC Kohima convened a meeting Thursday at DC’s Conference Hall Kohima to discuss work distribution for Republic Day function at Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on Jan 26.
According to an official bulletin, it was decided that a mass social work will be held on January 15 at Kohima, for which the DC has appealed to all concerned for their active cooperation.
Department wise work allocation for the social work would be as follows:
Raj Bhavan to World War II tank Point via Classic Point - DEF (K); Classic to CM’s residence via Jail Colony - home guards and prisons; World War II tank Point to TCP gate - urban development department; TCP gate to North PS junction - KMC; TCP gate to Para Medical junction - fire, soil & agri department; Old Assembly junction to Razhu point via ‘D’ Block - PWD (R&B and highways); North PS junction to Tanquist road junction - power department; Tanquist road junction to Tin Patti - school education & NBSE; Tin Patti to High School junction - tourism, social welfare & DUDA; High School junction to IG Stadium - industries & commerce, health & family welfare department, fisheries & PHED; and from High School Junction to New Assembly Secretariat - 4th NAP.
Departments have been informed to attach their respective department vehicles and that they would be solely responsible for collection and disposal of garbage in their assigned areas to KMC dumping ground. They have also been informed that they need not report to any office but to go to their assigned locations and begin work by 7 am.
Besides other deliberations the meeting assigned various associations/NGOs to visit various institutions. Sweet distribution in the ground would be carried out by Kohima Chamber of Commerce; NHAK by Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union; Old Age Home by Nagaland Civil Services Association; Leprosy Colony by Indian Red Cross Society, State Branch; Mental Hospital by Gorkha Panchayat; Kripa Foundation by Nagaland Police Service Association; District Jail, Kohima by Kohima Municipal Council; Kohima Orphanage by Rotary Club, Kohima; TB Hospital, Khuzama by DEF Kohima; UGRC by Pulie Badze Club; and Eden Garden, Khuzama by Classic Club
Meanwhile, an exhibition football match would be played between administrative heads and heads of departments during the evening function at the Secretariat Plaza.
