ANDESA emergency meeting
KOHIMA: Emergency meeting of All Nagaland Diploma Engineer Service Association (ANDESA) has been convened on January 19 from 10.30 am onwards at Conference Hall of chief engineer power, Kohima. The meeting would discuss issues relating to service matter of the association. All central executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
SASU annual session
DIMAPUR: Sakipheto Area Students’ Union (SASU) concluded its 10th annual session on January 5 at Zhuikhu village under the theme ‘Ages of wisdom and knowledge’. The session was graced by project manager NHHDC Shikaho Zhimomi as the inaugural chief guest and DMC advisor Hokuto Zhimo, president WSSU Daniel H.Sumi, U/A speaker WSSU Abeto Swu, and Retd DSO Kihovi Kiba as special guests. Speakers for the occasion were youth executive member WSABK Dr. Akashe Zhimo and general secretary WSTH Ahimsa Zhimo. Meanwhile, a new team of office bearers was elected during the session with Alice Chishi as president and Viloto Zhimo as general secretary.
WVGEU annual conference
DIMAPUR: 16th annual conference of Wokha Village Government Employees’ Union (WVGEU) was held on December 28, 2010 at Wokha village playground under the theme ‘Value yourself’. The occasion was graced by assistant engineer CAWD Er. Mhathung Kikon as session speaker who also donated Rs.10,000 towards the union’s fund. Meanwhile, a new team of office bearers was elected during the session with S. Chumben Murry as president, O. Eyingo Tungoe as vice president, Mhabemo Murry as general secretary among 16 other office bearers and two women coordinator.
DC Peren convenes meeting
DIMAPUR: Deputy commissioner Peren, Khrienuo C.Metha has convened a coordination meeting on January 17 at 11am at DC conference hall Peren for the forthcoming Republic Day celebration. All heads of department/ NGOs of Peren district have been requested to send one representative each to attend the meeting.
KDSUD fetes
DIMAPUR: Kiphire District Sumi Union Dimapur (KDSUD) has congratulated SDO PWD (R&B) Khevito Chishi on being promoted as executive engineer PWD (R&B). The union wished him success in his future endeavors.
NPF Wokha hails
DIMAPUR: The NPF Party functionaries of Wokha division has lauded the merger of NCP with NPF along with elected legislators namely Dr. Chumben Murry, minister for Agriculture and Pangnyu Phom, parliamentary secretary for rural development. The NPF unit while expressing gratitude to Dr. Chumben Murry said the present merger had brought the elected legislators in Wokha division into one fold.
SVC general meeting
KIPHIRE: General meeting of Seyochung village citizen (SVC) has been convened on January 28 at local ground Seyochung village. Chairman of the SVC Chopili Anar informed all Seyochung citizens to reach the village on or before January 27.
Condolence messages
EUUN: Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) has mourned the demise of advisor EUUN Inaho Sema on January 13. The union expressed condolence to the bereaved family members.
SVU: Seyochung Village Union (SVU) Kohima town has expressed shock and sadness on the demise of Tosepi Sangtam Retd PA –DC at his residence, Kiphire town. SVU conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members.
Election of new office bearers
APGO: Association of Phom Graduates and Officers (APGO) nominated its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011-14 during its 21st general session. The new officials of the association would be led by P.Manpong as president, C.Theppen Noklang as vice president, B.Longai as general secretary among four other members. Meanwhile, the new team has requested all citizens and tribal NGOs for their co-operation towards upcoming project and other social activities. WSBPF handing and taking over service: Western Sumi Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (WSBPF) has requested its new and old office bearers to attend the handing and taking over programme scheduled on January 25 at its banker’s residence at Purana bazaar at 10am.
BTSU: Bhandari Town Students’ Union (BTSU) elected new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011-12 during its 29th annual session on January 5. The new team would be led by Lichamo N.Enny as president, Chichanthung M.Kithan as general secretary, Subeno T.Kikon as finance secretary among several other secretaries.
STSU: Sungro Town Students’ Union (STSU) elected new team office bearers for the tenure 2011-12 during its 38th session on December 23, 2010. The newly elected team would be headed by N. Nrithung Odyuo as president, Surhoni Ngullie as vice president, and Chonbenthung Jami as general secretary. Meanwhile, information secretary Orenthung Jami has wished the new team success in their future endeavor.
ACCC 2 Dimapur-II A/C: Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) 2 Dimapur-II A/C elected new team of office bearers for the tenure 2010-13 headed by S.I Tangit as president; Koching Zeliang (attached to president), Daniel Jamir (establishment), Sedi Angami (enrolment), Rambi (polling booth and frontal), and Khekevi (publicity) as vice presidents; Thungdemo (Adm & publicity), Zumomo (establishment), and Among (enrolment) as general secretaries; Limawati (attached to Adm), Nokchi Jamir (attached to polling booth), I. Asang Jamir (attached to enrolment), T.T Khiam (attached to polling booth), Khrieko (attached to enrolment), and Nei-u Nagi (attached to enrolment) as secretaries; and N.G Deb as treasurer.
IMFL seized
KOHIMA, JAN 14 (NPN): 434 cases of liquor was seized during routine MVCP near KMC dumping zone on Friday. The IMFL loaded in a mini Tata (NL 03 A-3582) was heading to Dimapur. The driver, one Rajiv Singh, a resident of Chumukedima was arrested in this connection. A case has been registered under North PS Kohima. (Correspondent)
