Application forms for CMC job extended
DIMAPUR: The last date of submission of application forms for CMC job enabled training at Kolkata (a part of TATA Group) for three months has been extended till January 20. Deputy Director & HoD Mhaseto Nakro has informed that logical, reasoning test and interview would be conducted on January 21,11am at the conference hall of directorate of technical education, Kohima.
AR dental and medical camp
DIMAPUR: 32 Assam Rifles and 41 Assam Rifles of 5 Sector Assam Rifles under IGAR (N) organised a medical camp at New Beisumpui in Peren district and Tseminyu and Wokha district on January 13 and 15. Altogether 1000 villagers benefited from these camps, stated a defence release. The village elders and representatives of civil administration have meanwhile appreciated the initiative of Assam Rifles.
KBC platinum jubilee pre-celebration
DIMAPUR: Khughutomi Baptist Church (KBC) Sabak Pughoboto observed its platinum jubilee pre-celebration from January 7 to 9. Jubilee chairman Atoshe and secretary Akuto expressed gratitude to the general public and III battalion BSF commandant and ‘C’ company commander for their cooperation and help during the pre-celebration.
LSU elects new team
DIMAPUR: Litsami Students’ Union (LSU) elected new office bearers for the tenure 2011-12 during its 44th annual session on December 19, 2010. The new team would be headed by Vikatoli I. Chophi as president, Vikato I. Chishi as vice president, Tovika K. Chishi as general secretary along with 21 other office bearers, 2 bankers, 13 representatives to LSU sub-units, and 9 advisory board members.

Tribute musical night
DIMAPUR: Fans of ‘Tomahawak’ Dimapur would be organising a tribute musical night on February at Town Hall Dimapur to honour professional musicians of the state- ‘The Tomahawk’ and ‘Suffering Souls’. The event would be managed by the Musical Channel of Nagaland.
NSU new team
DIMAPUR: Naghutomi Students’ Union (NSU) elected a new team of office bearers for the next tenure with Viluto Z. Khulu as president and Mughalu Sumi as the general secretary. The new team was elected during its 68th annual which concluded on December 29 at Naghutomi village. The programme was graced by AO Zunheboto Luheto K. Chophy as the chief guest and Hetoli L. Kiba UDA government high school Atoizu as women speaker.
Preparations for R-Day at Kiphire
DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Kiphire C.M Tsanglao has directed all heads of department under Kiphire and participants to complete their assigned works on or before January 24. Contingents have been informed that rehearsal for march past would begin from January 22.
