IMFL, banned drugs destroyed in Mkg

About 1000 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and more than 10,000 capsules of banned drugs such as Nitroset-10 and SPM-PRX seized by Mokokchung police during the last four months were destroyed in the session court Complex Mokokchung Saturday.
In pursuance of destruction order passed by Mokokchung additional district session judge Maongkaba Imchen, the destruction was carried out by destruction committee led by T. Mar, additional public prosecutor, Moa Lemtur, EAC, Vikram Khalate, IPS, SDPO Mokokchung and Among, prosecution inspector in presence of DPRO, Mokokchung and media persons.
While executing the order, the destruction committee chairman T. Mar additional PP, Mokokchung expressed gratitude to the police personnel posted at different places for their prompt and effective implementation of the Nagaland Total Prohibition Act.
The Committee also appealed NGOs of Nagaland to support Law enforcing agencies for effective implementation of the Act stating Alcohol and drugs were the two main sources of bringing problems to individuals and society.
