Kuda village observe 70th foundation day

Kuda village (erstwhile Nagarjan) celebrated its 70th foundation day on Saturday at its council hall with additional director industries and commerce Thekruneituo Kire as chief guest.
The chief guest while delivering his speech expressed his contentment to be partaking in the celebration and stressed that 70 long years have passed since the inception of the village, also recognized as on of the most peaceful areas in the state.
He urged the gathering to keep in mind the role played by the forefathers in establishing the village, at the same time, look ahead for the things that are yet to be accomplished.
Reminding the youth that they were privileged to be residing in the ‘district of opportunities’, the chief guest advised the youth to not only hunt for for government jobs. In this regard, he asked business professionals who were present at the function to guide the youth and teach them their trade as well.
Employment opportunities could be enhanced by organizing awareness programmes, workshop, or seminars, and exposure trips or any other such educative undertakings from various departments, Kire added.
Earlier, the chairman’s message was delivered by village council chairman Neingusie Nagi, and report presented by VDB, youth club, women, and Kuda village council.
The occasion was marked by ‘village day awards’ presented to meritorious students by the village council in the field of education, music, and sports.
Other highlights of the program were invocation by Divikhoü Savino, benediction by Rev. M. Sakhrie, and special song by the Kuda Village Baptist Church (KVBC) Youth, vote of thanks by Sabulie Nakhro, joint secretary. The programme was chaired by vice chairman, Thekrulesie Dolie.
