Congress legislature party meet
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Congress legislature party (CLP) has been convened on January 21, 11am at the residence of CLP leader and leader of opposition Tokheho Yepthomi at Naharbari, Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Free phonetics course for Church workers
DIMAPUR: Dimensions – School of Phonetics & Spoken English would be providing free 14 -day crash course in phonetics for pastors and reverends beginning February 21. Organizers informed that books and other materials related to the course would have to be purchased at a discounted price. ASSU condoles
DIMAPUR: The All Sumi Students’ Union has expressed grief on the sudden demise of Vikavi Ayemi on January 15 at Kohima. SKK in a condolence message stated late Vikavi was a hard working and brilliant student who secured Top 18th position in the HSLC examination 2010. The union stated his demise was not only a loss to his family members but for the Sumis as well as the Nagas. The union conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed the departed soul rest in peace.
NAP personnel injured in a hit and run
Dimapur, Jan 16 (NPN): A Nagaland Armed Police personnel was injured in a hit and run case near Chumukedima around 8.15pm Sunday, traffic police sources said. The constable was hit from behind while he was heading home on foot. The injured identified as Toshi of 3rd NAP posted at Tuensang sustained multiple head injuries and was rushed to Referral hospital, 4th Mile, police added. The identity of the culprits nor of the vehicle could be available till the time of filing this report. Staff Reporter
