38th Wokha A/C, NCP dissolved

In support of the decision taken by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leaders’ merger with Naga People’s Front, the Wokha district Nationalist Congress Party and 38 Wokha A/C have been dissolved with immediate effect.
Khochamo Murry president Wokha District Nationalist Congress Party and Yiben Tungoe president 38th Wokha A/C Nationalist Congress Party in a press release stated the two offices would await further direction.
Further, Wokha district Nationalist Congress Party and the 38th Wokha A/C office bearers have lauded the timely merger of the two legislators with Naga People’s Front adding it would strengthen the leadership of state chief minister Neiphiu Rio.
Meanwhile, Naga People’s Front Zunheboto unit also welcomed the merger of the two Nationalist Congress Party leaders with their supporter to the Naga People’s Front fold.
NPF Zunheboto unit general secretary P. Kiyelu Awomi in a press note stated the merger for the consolidation of the regional like minded leaders would go a long way in preserving the ideology of regionalism and for nurturing the Naga identity.
Naga People’s Front Zunheboto unit further welcomed Nationalist Congress Party members from Zunheboto district to contact its office for necessary formalities. It may be mentioned that two former NCP legislators Dr. Chumben Murry and parliamentary secretary Pangnyu Phom joined the NPF party on January 12.
