MBC centenary culminates

(NPN): The centenary celebrations of Mangmetong Baptist Church (MBC) concluded successfully on Sunday evening. The three- day celebration was marked by special services at the church where thousands of Mangmetong villagers from within and outside the villages, invitees, guests attended the celebration. Day one of the celebration was marked by formal declaration of centenary open by Rev. O Alem, Executive. Day two of the centenary was marked by centenary feast and in the evening service, Nagaland home minister Imkong L Imchen exhorted the gathering.
On the concluding night of the celebration, the centenary service was marked by the Lords supper that was conducted by Rev. Luin jamir besides adopting a number of centenary resolutions.
The Church resolved to give `2 lakhs from the centenary fund for ABAM mission, to build a centenary complex building at MBC site, Dimapur.
The income generated from which would be used in MBC evangelism. The Church also resolved that trust fund be opened with the name "Mr. & Mrs. L. Shilu Imchen Trust" on behalf of MBC Centenary. The trust fund would be used as scholarship to those Mangmetong citizens pursuing higher theological studies and also resolved to have holistic approach to peace and unity amongst the Church, different organizations, families and the self.
