IPPI programme from Jan 23

With the rest of the country Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) programme will be held on January 23 and February 27. All parents, community leaders, women representatives, youth representatives and Church leaders of villages and colonies under Kohima district have been requested to mobilize children to avail Polio vaccine at the nearest Polio booth.
Mokokchung: Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) programme would be conducted in Mokokchung on January 23. In this connection a meeting of the District Task Force (DTF) on IPPI was held in the office Chamber of ADC Mokokchung on January on18 which decided to set up a total of 200 polio booths in the district to be manned by about 800 workers to ensure that every eligible child receive polio drops on the occasion.
IPPI programme on January 23 would be followed by house to house IPPI operation on January 24 and 25 to see that children who failed to turn up on the immunization day also receive the polio drop, stated an official bulletin.
The DTF also discussed in detail in providing IPPI coverage in those inaccessible areas in the district and for this block level task force at all administrative headquarters in the district was set up.
Peren: General public of Peren district have been informed to avail facility of IPPI 2011 to be administered to all children from 0-5 years of age on January 23 at IPPI booths, followed by house to house visit on January 24 and 25.
