CM to move into DGP quarter temporarily

The state government has decided to use the official quarters of DGP Nagaland as the temporary official residence of the state chief minister, as reported in this daily. Earlier, minister for health and family welfare Küzholüzo Nienu and DGP K. Kire had both offered their official residences to use as chief minister’s temporary official residence following the fire incident that razed the latter February 8 last. The chief secretary Lalthara, in a letter, thanked the minister and DGP on behalf of the state government, and further informed stated that the DGP quarters was chosen based on convenience and security reasons. Reconstruction of the damaged official residence of chief minister is expected to take about eight months, he added.
