Deputy commissioner Dimapur, Maong Aier on February 14 attended the 12th review meeting with the nodal secretaries of the state governments/union territories on MPLADS in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Delivering the inaugural speech at the review meeting, union minister of statistics and programme implementation, G.S. Gill asked all state nodal officers to ensure that guidelines of MPLADS were followed and that MPs should be well guided and recast schemes where guidelines were not followed.
According to DC Dimapur, physical and financial status of MPLADS implementation was discussed state-wise and transfer of funds under MPLADS scheme through ECS/RTGs discussed in detail.
The DC also said operationalisation of online monthly progress, reporting system of MPLADS was emphasized at length for better governance.
For Nagaland, the DC disclosed that the entire installment of 14th and 15th Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs was released by the ministry and the percentage of utilization over release of 91.68% and ranks 17th in the country.
The deputy commissioner also said C&AG audit para 5.5.6 and para 5.9.4 required to be furnished in detail to the ministry of S&PI at the earliest, as the partial reply of the two parties was still awaited.
“And the online monthly progress report for the MPs to be uploaded in www.mplads.com for transparency and e-governance,” the DC said.
To ensure better monitoring, ministry of statistics and programme implementation holds review meetings at the centre twice a year.
