ENNWA resolves

Eastern Naga National Workers’ Association (ENNWA), at an emergency meeting of “high ranking civil and military leaders” of eastern Nagaland February 17, resolved that “sovereignty of the Naga people shall not be compromised under any circumstance.” This was among other issues resolved in the meeting, organized at Oking, to deliberate on urgent issues confronting the “Naga Nation” as a whole and eastern Nagas in particular,said a joint statement of ENNWA released by GPRN/NSCN’s MIP. They said sovereignty was the “ the very spirit and soul of the existence of Nagas as a people” while saying that the ENPO demand for a separate state for eastern Nagas did not merit its comment. ENNWA clarified that it was because the “ utmost priority of every Naga national worker to continue the struggle till the very end.” ENNWA leaders also reaffirmed their “unflinching support” to GPRN/NSCN under the leadership of chairman S.S Khaplang, c-in-c “gen.” Khole and general secretary N Kitovi Zhimomi “to build a common Naga future.”
