ANCSU for ‘online’ pattern

Amid apprehensions by college principals’ forum and local students’ body over implementation of Nagaland University’s online question paper delivery pattern at examination centres, the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) Friday said the initiative of the university incorporated to its charter of demands submitted to NU vice-chancellor May 25, 2010 because of late declaration of undergraduate results.
According to ANCSU, the vice-chancellor August 10, 2010 assured the union in written, “stating to declare the undergraduate results as per the UGC norms and also assured to issue mark sheet along with the declaration of result.”
Claiming that online question paper delivery of system was accepted and agreed by almost all the college affiliated to Nagaland University July 2, 2010, the ANCSU appealed to all college principals and authority responsible to cooperate with the University for the smooth functioning of the University and welfare of the students.
The college students’ body, on the other hand, asserted it would not “hesitate” to take own course of action if the university failed to respond to students’ “genuine” demand.
Meanwhile, the ANCSU appealed to power department to ensure uninterrupted power supply to all the districts during examination, as the university was about to adopt advanced technology system in the forthcoming undergraduate examination scheduled to begin February 22 next.
It also requested all district administrations “to be more dedicated and vigilant” so as to control any untoward incidents in the midst of examination. The union has urged all the students to give their best efforts in their studies.
