2 persons picked by SF: still missing

Two persons were allegedly picked by security forces from their houses at Top Siphai in Imphal west district on Friday.
Locals alleged that Chabungbam Manglemba (28) son of Ch Nungshijao and Mongjam Suresh (27) son of L Mangi, both from Top Siphai Mayai Leikai were picked up by the troops of 12 Maratha Li station at telephone office at Mayang Imphal Chabung Company on Friday night. Top Siphai womenfolk on Sunday lodged a complaint with the chief minister O Ibobi Singh after they found that the duo had gone missing since Friday.
The locals went to the chief minister’s house to ask the CM to rescue the youths, however, they could not meet CM who was currently in New Delhi to attend a meeting. The protestors met the chief minister in-charge, Th Debendra and submitted the memorandum. In the memorandum, the protesters ask the government to order the security forces to hand over the two persons to the police station.
Further the protestors alleged that no arrest memo was issued, while the duo was picked from their houses. Police also confirmed that no such persons were handed over to any of the police stations by the security forces. Security personnel came on a bullet proof gypsy and 407 truck to pick up the two youths.
