Following GPRN/NSCN Sumi Region mediation into the February 14 incident, involving Congress MLA Kheto’s son and GPRN/NSCN “leacy” member Khekato, the case has been “settled amicably” between the two parties, it has been reported. GPRN/NSCN Sumi Region chairman Huvito Yeptho, in a statement released by MIP, said both the parties were summoned and after hearing their grievances, a compromise was reached in the spirit of “forgive and forget.” Meanwhile, appreciating two parties for “amicably settling the issue”, the GPRN/NSCN Sumi region chairman has requested respective village elders, student bodies and associations not to “magnify such issues in the media as it does not help anyone.” The GPRN/NSCN Sumi region also urged both the parties to strengthen the “bond of friendship and live in mutual respect as neighbours.”
