State government Monday said it has noted with concern several instances of some government servants who are either refusing or not willing to enumerate themselves in their places of posting during the current phase of Census. Stating that it has already issued general information July 1, 2010 directing all government servants to enumerate themselves in their places of posting and not in their home towns or villages, a government notification further directed all its servants to “scrupulously” follow the instructions. “Any government servants violating the above instructions are liable to be proceeded against for disciplinary action for violating of Nagaland servant conduct rules 1968,” the notification cautioned.
