President Patil state visit in March

President of India, Prathiba Devisingh Patil’s proposed two-day official maiden visit to Nagaland is scheduled during the second week of March next. An official source from the Presidents office Monday confirmed of the visit scheduled next month. Patil is likely visit Tuensang and stay overnight at Kohima and depart the next day. Meanwhile, home commissioner J. Alam also confirmed that a proposal was already sent to the Presidents Secretariat for Patil’s visit to the state. The president is likely to arrive Kohima on March 9. During her visits the President who is also the Visitor of the Nagaland University is proposed to lay the foundation stone of the Nagaland University, Kohima Campus.
