First phase mass teachers training: EBRC Longkhim held its first phase of mass teachers training based on ‘methodology of new pedagogy’ on February 8. The meeting was conducted by coordinator EBRC Longkhim, L Nokdensang Sangtam along with TOTs.
Medical Board confirmation: Chief medical officer, Phek has informed that medical board for confirmation, invalidation, commutation of pension would be held on February 24, 10am at chief medical officer office, Phek. All head of department of Phek district have been requested to inform their employees.
DC Dimapur informs: Ten (10) officials from national institute for mentally handicapped ministry of social justice, would be visiting Dimapur for extension and outreach programme. Moang Aier, deputy commissioner, Dimapur in this connection informed the team would be holding a press conference on February 23, 10am at the conference hall of deputy commissioner.
Irregular power supply in Bhandari: In spite of the HSLC and HSSLC examination underway, power irregularities still continues unabated in Bhandari Town. In this regard, Bhandari town students union stated constant breakdown of power supply every now and has been adversely affecting the examinees and the general public. The Bhandari town students’ union has appealed the department, authorities to take immediate steps to solve the menace.
DPDB meeting Tuensang rescheduled: In view of the VVIP visit to Tuensang district, the monthly DPDB meeting has been rescheduled to March 1, 11am at the conference hall of deputy commissioner, Tuensang. All heads of departments, DAO (agri), DHO (horti), EE (irrigation), DSCO (soil), V& AH, DEO (education), DWO (welfare), CMO/MS/GM (dic), EE (power), EE (R&B), EE (PHED), DCO (culture), DPO (planning), PD (DRDA), LRD/ARCS/DPRO, Principal Sao Chang College, GHSS Tuensang, headmistress Thangjam GHS, DFO (fishery), DFO (forest) and UDO have been requested to attend the meeting.
Census officers Dimapur area joint meet: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dimapur Municipal Committee (DMC) has informed supervisors, master trainers and nodal officers for census 2011, Dimapur town area that there would be a joint meeting on February 24, 11am at the conference hall of deputy commissioner Dimapur.
Lost and found: GPRN/NSCN, union territory-1 has informed that one Tata Mobil 207-DI white colour bearing regd No NL07A 4111, engine No. 253401153846 and chassis No. MAT374463A9G22402 and one auto three wheeler bearing engine No. AEMBSH 64879, chassis No. 2AA24ZZ SH59676 is in the custody of union territory-1 office GPRN/NSCN, Khehoi designate camp. The rightful owner has been requested to claim the same by producing original documents within seven days.
VEC training on communitization held: One day Village Education Committee (VEC) training on communitization was held on February 18 conducted by District Mission Authority (DMA) Tuensang at EBRC Longkhim. The training was attended by DMA members, Tialemba, assistant district coordinator (ADC), Chubasashi, accountant, Nyulo JE, John, assistant programmer from Tuensang along with 50 VEC, secretaries and members from different village.
ACAG fathers’ fellowship: Angami Council Assemblies of God (ACAG) fathers’ fellowship will hold its 4th session from February 25-27 at TL Angami Park, New Chümukedima. All members have been informed to attend the programme.
KSU membership collection: Kyong Students’ Union (KSU) has informed all institutions within Wokha district to assist the union in collecting membership fee for the current year from class I and above. Union education and statistical secretary M. Robin Jungio in a press release informed that membership collection has been necessitated to ascertain accurate statistical report. Union also cautioned all head of institutions not to release any amount without the seal and signature of the education and statistical secretary. All parents have been informed to cooperate with the union.
LSU new members: Longtsung Students Union Wokha has elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011-12. They union elected Jerry N. Mozhui as president, Chonben Mozhui as vice president, Achumthung Mozhui as general secretary, Mhabeni Jungi as finance secretary, Erenbemo Mozhui as games and sports secretary, Zachamo Mozhui as social and cultural secretary, Priscilla Jungi as education and statistical secretary, Nchumyani Mozhui as literary secretary, and Benchilo Mozhui as information and public secretary. President Jerry Mozhui has extended his best wishes to all the new members.
UCEAN meeting: Unemployed Civil Engineers’ Association (UCEAN) has convened a meeting on March 5 at 11:30am at PWD (W&H) conference hall. All unemployed civil engineers have been asked to attend the meeting along with an annual registration fee of `100. Issues relating to NPSC recruitment rule and strategies of the union against non-advertisement vacancies will be deliberated, the union stated. New school at Kohima: New school annex, GMS New Market Area Kohima would be inaugurated on February 22 at 9am by Theyievilie, assistant district coordinator SSA Kohima.
SKK new team: All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) has elected new team of executive members for the tenure 2011-13 on February 18 at Zunheboto headed by Nihoi Kinni as president, Boketo Kiho as vice president and Shikavi Achumi as general secretary.
ANSTA Longleng informs adhoc teachers: All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) Longleng unit has informed adhoc teachers under Longleng district to perform their duties regularly in their respective schools. Unit president, K. Takanganba cautioned that it would not be held responsible for the absentee incumbent.
State NCP introductory meeting: The Nagaland state unit of Nationalist Congress Party held its introductory meeting of new team of office bearers on February 21 at the party’s office, Kohima. Er. Levi Rengma, working president chaired the meeting and Neiba Ndang on his appointment as the new president introduced the new team. Neiba Ndang expressed appreciation to the party workers for their loyalty to the party at a time of transition also thanked national president, Sharad Pawar and general secretary (i/c N.E), P. A Sangma for reposing their confidence in him as the state president.
