AC&C to visit Mon: Additional chief secretary & commissioner Banuo Z. Jamir, IAS would be visiting Mon district on February 25 to review SSA, NRHM, NREGA, BRGF, IAY, PMGSY, Social Welfare Schemes, PMEGP, SGSY programmes etc. In this connection, all heads of departments have been requested to report to EAC Headquarter Mopung at 10am for special meeting with additional chief secretary and commissioner. They are also directed to submit a brief progress/implementation report in respect of their departmental schemes/ programme and other related issues at the meeting.
‘Kyong ‘National workers agony day’: In remembrance of the first death anniversary of late Khodao Yanthan, vice president of National Socialist Council of Nagalim, the central administrative officer, Kyong region, Joseph Lotha has informed all Kyong national workers to observe March 1 as ‘Kyong National Workers Agony Day’ with fasting.
NF Rly affected landowners: An emergency meeting of all the “to be affected” land owners of the North Frontier Railway (BG) has been called on February 23 at Thahekhu village council hall at 10 am. The meeting is stated to be crucial as final decision to the proposed laying of railway line will be taken on that day. Its convener Thepfulhoutuo Shuya has asked all “to-be affected” landowners from Dimapur to Kohima to compulsorily attend the proposed emergency meeting.
Health awareness camp: The Patanjali Yog Samiti Kohima would be organizing five days health awareness camp from February 26 at 26th Assam Rifles ground with Swami Ramdev, internationally renowned Yoga teacher as the resource person.
TSU meeting: Thetsümi Students union (TSU) has called all newly elected executives, ex-executives and seniors students and leaders to attend the 1st TSU meet on March 5 at 9am at VDB Multipurpose building Hall Thetsiimi.
LSU meeting: Lazami Students Union (LSU) has congratulated the new team of village council members with Vikugha Phucho as chairman. The union envisaged that the new team will work with greater responsible and brought sustainable development in the village.
ANSTA Phek meet: Meeting of executives and sub-unit president of ANSTA Phek has been convened at ERBC Hall Phek town on March 11,12noon. All members have been requested to avoid tours and fixing meetings on the scheduled date and attend the meeting in person.
River Belt colony general meeting: A general public meeting of River Belt has been convened on February 26 from 3pm at the residence of colony treasurer Akang Ao. All members especially house/plot owners have been requested to attend the meeting without fail. Further, executive members have been informed to ensure closure of shops within the colony during the meeting.
S.99 society educational award: S.99 society, Sovima, informed that a sum of `10,000 in cash would be awarded to HSLC toppers from Angami community. Eligible candidates have been informed to contact the society chairman and secretary.
DDAPU executive and finance committee meeting: An executive and finance committee meeting of Dimapur District Ao Pensioners Union (DDAPU) will be held on February 26 from 10am at the residence of its union treasurer Imti Jamir, Duncan Basti.
Maha Shiv Ratri at Singrijan: The Shiv Mandir Rangapahar, Singrijan, will celebrate 50th Maha Shiv Ratri festival on March 2. While extending invitation to all devotees, the mandir committee banned consumption of alcoholic beverages and non-vegetarian food items during the festival.
KSON elects new office bearers: Kuki Students Organisation Nagaland (KSON) elected new office bearers for the tenure 2011-13 with Hentinthang (Inbung) as president, Paojangam (Maova) as general secretary, Seimin (Inbung) as vice-president, Khaijahao (Sirhima) as joitn secretary, Lhingnggahhat (Medziphema) as finance secretary and Seihao (Phaipijang) as information and publicity secretary.
Evidence meeting on committee on public accounts: Evidence meeting of the committee on public accounts with the departmental representatives of the urban development and irrigation and flood control has been fixed on February 28, 10:30am in the committee room of assembly secretariat, Kohima.
NPF Kiphire division welcome Congress workers: NPF Kiphire party division has welcomed former veteran Congress members to its fold. The newly joined members include Vitokhu 59 A/C Congress (i) advisor, Aseba head GB Yingphir village, Kaito head GB Lukhami village, Shiromong GB Sanphur village, Tsasemong GB Thangthur village and Throngsekyu ACC (I) executive member. According to NPF Kiphire division president C. Lichokyu, the resigned members joined the NPF to strengthen the party under the leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio and NPF president Shürhozelie.
3Dimapur III A/C Congress committee meeting: Emergency general meeting of all Congress members of Naharbari unit, youth and Mahila has been convened on February 25, 3pm at the residence of its president.
Individual societies and churches depositors meeting: Acting president of depositors union has convened a general meeting on March 5 at new circuit house, near super market. All depositors, individual societies and churches who have deposited money in national finance company, near ADC court Dimapur in the year 2004 have been requested to attend the meeting.
KVC inform public: Kashiram Village Council (KVC) has informed those damaging the NGREGAS signboard under within the village that they would be dealt seriously if caught red handed. The council further warned culprits would be produced before the council and rewarded a fine of `5000, added secretary. Further, Kashiram Village council held a general meeting on February 14 at its council hall and elected new office bearers for the tenure 2011-2016 led by T S Meren as the chairman, Jambemo Odyuo as the secretary along with fifteen VCMs (village council members).
TLC annual general meeting: Tesen Lui Council (TLC) has convened an annual general meeting on February 25, 9am at old Tesen village council hall. All office bearers and general public of Tesenians have been requested to attend the meeting.
DC Phek inspect ongoing census operation: Deputy commissioner Phek, Mikha Lomi who is also district principal census officer visited Zapami, Lasumi, Lewoza/JNV center and Khezhakheno villages on February 19 under Pfutsero sub-division to inspect and intensify the ongoing census works. DC also visited the landslide-affected areas in Lasumi village. A major landslide occurred in the middle of the village last year affecting around forty household. According to an official bulletin, DC donated `1 lakh from the natural calamity relief fund. The villagers further appealed the authorities for more funds.
Veterinary department informs: District veterinary and AH officer, Phek Dr. Mudozo Sahire has informed all who had applied for livestock and poultry production unit 2010-2011 to collect forms and condition from DVO office, Phek and submit it on or before February 28 for further spot verification report.
Constitution release prog: Kohima Pangti Kyon Ekhung Lanso (Constitution) release programme will be held with additional secretary Government of Nagaland, Ramongo Lotha IAS as the chief guest at LCS building, Kohima on February 25, 10am. The Ekhung has requested all Kohima Pangti members to attend the function and collect ‘Lanso’, free of cost.
Government Polytechnic Alunmis’ Union: General meeting of Government Polytechnic Alunmis’ Union (MOP) has been convened on February 25, 11am at the conference hall of Government Polytehnic, Kohima. All members have been directed to attend the meeting. The meeting would discuss important issues pertaining to the welfare of the students. A fine of `200 would be imposed on those who fail to attend the meeting, informed Wapang Tzudir, president Government Polytechnic Alunmis’ Union (MOP)
Fresh local fish on sale: Department of fisheries, Kohima would be selling fresh local fish caught from local fish farmer’s ponds on February 23 at P.R. Hill Junction, Kohima. Public have been requested to avail the opportunity as the department envisages selling the fish at a nominal rate.
