The BJP Manipur unit Wednesday demanded from the government to make a clarification on the corruption charges leveled against the Chief Minister, O Ibobi Singh, ministers and MLAs in the ruling coalition.
BJP state unit vice-president, S Tiken today said that the SPF ministers should table white paper on the scams exposed by the BJP instead of taking and hurling baseless charge against the opposition.
S.Tiken was reacting to a statement made by SPF spokesperson on the by-election seat won by Trinamool congress. “Opposition parties are celebrating it as conquering the world”.
The congress should know that it was defeated in the Konthoujam by-election because of their rampant corruption and anti-people policy. Their doom period is nearing, he said.
Tiken further asks the congress to clarify on the corruption charge leveled against them and the controversy surfaced for Loktak clean-up project which involve Rs. 224 crore.By remaining silent the government has proved that they had done wrong in the project, Tiken alleged.
He said, “There were no signs of proper use of the money released by the central government and that the funds have been siphoned off by the Congress led SPF government.
The Loktak lake clean-up project was given to the New Delhi based, K Pro Infra works private Ltd.
He said that the planning commission and ministry of environment should send their teams to assess the ground reality of the project implementation on the project.
