AHoDs, HoDs meet postponed: State government has postponed the meeting of administrative heads of departments (AHoD) and head of departments (HoD), in view of Sekrenyi festival. The date of meeting, earlier fixed on February 25, 1pm, has been postponed to February 28, 1pm.
AKM meeting: The last presidential council meeting of Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) 2008-2010 tenure has been convened on February 28 at AKM Conference Hall.
NLA evidence meeting: The Nagaland Legislative Assembly has called for an evidence meeting with departmental representatives of irrigation and flood control and sericulture department on March 2 at 11am in the assembly committee room Kohima.
ZVWS general meeting: Zeliangrong Village Women Society (ZVWS) has convened a general meeting on February 26, 11am at Zeliangrong village council hall.
NBCC triennial finance committee meet: Meeting of all NBCC triennial finance committee board members hosted by WSBAK would be held on February 25, 10:30am at Shozukhu hall, Akuvuto.
KDTA inform taxi owners: Kiphire District Taxi Association (KDTA) has informed all taxi owners of Kiphire district that yearly registration should be completed by February 28 to March 10. Failure which, KDTA said severe action would be taken against defaulters.
YUD executive meeting: Yimchunger Union Dimapur (YUD) has convened an executive meeting on February 26, 10am at the residence of its treasurer.
ATAN general meeting: Aggrieved Teachers’ Association of Nagaland (ATAN) has convened a general meeting on February 26, 3pm at ISBT, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur.
Hotels, restaurants owners cautioned: Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has directed owners of hotels, restaurants, hostels, vehicles and other commercial agencies not to use domestic LPG cylinders in their commercial establishments. Reminding that such practice was illegal and against norms, DMC chief executive officer Nikhashe Sema cautioned that violators of the council’s directive would be penalized at the time of inspection as per provisions of law.
SJP team to attend national level meet: A team of Socialist Janata Party (SJP) Nagaland unit would be attending All India SJP executive meeting convened on February 27 at New Delhi. The team would comprise of state secretary, joint secretary, youth wing president, general secretary and joint secretary.
Project directors, BDOs meet: Meeting of project directors and block development officers (BDO) has been convened on March 1, 11am at directorate conference hall. Rural development director, Metsubo Jamir has directed all officers to attend the meeting and that non-attendance would be viewed seriously.
ZDCA session: First session of Zunheboto District Cricket Association (ZDCA) would be conducted on February 26, 11am at the residence of its banker Hekato, old town. Executives, sub committees coach, umpires to attend have been informed to attend the meeting.
DC Mon notifies HoDs: Deputy commissioner, Mon has informed all head of the offices that all Saturday would be a working days except 2nd and 4th Saturday. In this connection all HoDs have been directed to keep their office open excluding 2nd and 4th Saturday. All government employees are also directed to attend their respective office on all working Saturdays.
Validity of cooperative societies bye-laws: Validity of bye-laws issued under the name and signature of former Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) M. Imtila Jamir would stand valid only March 31. Registrar of Cooperative Societies T. Imkonglemla Longkumer stated no organization papers with bye laws under the signature of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies should be accepted after the expiry of the specified date.
DC Mon to verify census operation: Deputy Commissioner Mon Dinesh Kumar would be visiting Tobu on February 24 and will hold meetings with charge officers, supervisors, enumerators of Tobu, Monyakshu, and Mopong area to verify census operation. He would be accompanied by additional chief secretary and commissioner, Banuo Jamir on February 26 to Zangkham and Nyasa village
TGF seminar: Tej Gyan Foundation (TGF) would be organizing a seminar on ‘How to live fearless life’ in collaboration with maple society, channel for socio-economic action and Rotaract club, Chumukedima on February 27, 1pm to 3pm at Rotaract club office, opp Good win school, Kohima.
KVC inform public: Kashiram Village Council (KVC) has informed public that whoever was caught red handed damaging the NGREGAS signboard within village would be dealt with seriously. KVC notified that the person who catches the culprit red handed and produces him/her to the council would be rewarded a sum of Rs.5000.
ANGDA meeting: The 31st general body meeting of All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association (ANGDA) has been convened on February 26, 10am at CANSSEA conference hall. All members of the association have been asked to submit yearly membership fee of Rs.50 for the year 2011. Agendas to be discussed during the meeting include ANGDA member’s lottery draw on April 30 at Wokha, forthcoming 4th conference and progress of ANGDA central committee.
ZSU presidential council: 4th presidential council of Zeliangrong Students’ Union (ZSU) Nagaland would be conducted on February 25 at 1pm at town hall, Jalukie. All presidents and secretaries of federal units and subordinate bodies, senior leaders, tribunal ZSUN, Zeliangrong frontal organization and public leaders have been asked to attend the meet.
PSU meeting: Pochury Students’ Union (PSU) has called for an emergency meeting on February 25 at 10am at Pochury hall Kohima with all NGO leaders, unit representatives and senior citizens of Pochury community to discuss on job reservation policy.
Peli No.12 L. Khel silver jubilee: Peli No 12 L. Khel Kohima village would be celebration silver jubilee on February 26 at 10am at Tsieramia Chapru, below T.M Government High School Kohima with S. Pangnyu Phom, parliamentary secretary rural development and REPA and Metsubo Jamir, director rural development as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
CSU appeal to schools for restricted holiday: Chumukedima Students Union (CSU) has appealed to head of schools for declaring a one day restricted holiday for Angami students, teachers and non-teaching staff on February 25 on account of Sekrenyi festival.
TVC orders cutting down of trees: Tenyiphe-I village council (TVC) has informed residents under its jurisdiction to cut down all tress except those bearing fruits by December 31. The council has further restricted plantation of teak, gamari, bamboo etc., within the village and warned of strict action against defaulters.
BJP (ST Morcha) in-charge of districts appointed: Kaheto Sema has been elected as district vice-president BJP (ST Morcha) in-charge of Zunheboto, Sashi Jamir for Dimapur and N. Imti Sangtam for Kiphire district. This was informed in a release issued by BJP (ST Morcha) Nagaland, president, Abraham T. Lincoln.
DC Phek inform govt employees: Deputy commissioner and principal census officer (PCO) Phek, Mikha Lomi has informed all government servants serving under Phek district to register their names in the ongoing census enumeration at their place of posting, stated an official bulletin. Stating that many government employees posted in the district were found out of station, resulting to difficulty in enrolling their names in census enumeration, DC directed all employees to reach their place of posting on or before February 26.
Phek GBs’ association session: Phek District GBs’ Association will hold its general session on February 25 at district GBs’ conference hall Phek, 10.30am. According to an official bulletin, election of new office bearers will be held during the session.
Phek district dobashis meet: Phek district dobashis meet for the year 2011 will be held on February 25 at DPDB conference hall with DC Phek, Mikha Lomi as chief guest.
Lost and found: A green coloured airbag containing clothes, kid shoes and two photo albums was found at Dhobinala junction. The rightful owner may claim it from West PS, Dimapur. For further information, one may contact 232181, 9436066645.
