Training on Naga Mircha cultivation at Wokha, Longleng

Training on Naga Mircha cultivation was conducted at Wokha and Longleng districts on February 22 and 23 respectively.
About 50 beneficiaries from nine villages of Wokha district and 40 beneficiaries from six villages of Longleng district attended the training. Resource person Pawan Kumar, deputy director, horticulture, Nagaland highlighted the importance and scope of Naga Mircha cultivation in Nagaland and techniques of nursery raising and main field preparation of crop.
Assistant horticulture officer Senti Longchar briefed on documentation of Naga Mircha cultivation and plant protection measures of crop. Wokha and Longleng districts have been recently included under Horticulture Technology Mission for Naga Mircha cultivation. Free seeds and bio fertilizers like Lombrico M-45 were distributed to the beneficiaries for immediate raising of nurseries.
