District administrations of both the Dimapur and Peren have said that the volatile situation along the border was returning to normalcy.
SDO civil Jalukie, L. Jamithung Lotha said that the people camped at the disputed site had withdrawn from the area after the chairman of Jalukielo village signed an undertaking to withdraw people from the area.
He said that the security personnel and DBs were stationed at the site and the district administration was closely monitoring the situation.
SDO civil, Dimapur Hotolu Swu also said the situation was returning to normalcy and added that two platoons of IRB personnel have been put in place to oversee the situation till the dispute was resolved.
It may be mentioned that on Wednesday some 300 youths of Jalukielo village resorted to blank firing at Kakiho village under Dhansiripar sub division reportedly injuring one person.

The district administrations of Dimapur and Peren had maintained a status quo at the disputed site following an order from additional chief secretary and commissioner, Nagaland Banuo Z Jamir till the district boundary was demarcated.
