Yoga is a way of life says Ramdev

Renowned Yoga guru Swami Ramdev Friday maintained that Yoga was a way of life and a complete science which should be introduced in all schools and villages. While stressing that it has nothing to do with religion, the yog guru also pointed out that it was useful to one’s health and helps in treating many diseases. Friday’s event of Baba Ramdev was telecast live on Aastha channel.
The swami also grabbed the limelight once again by for expressing his resentment over the spate of corruption taking place across the country and called upon the people to wake up and raise their voices against it. Calling corruption and black money a “disease” to the country, he asserted that people should work hard and come together united to fight the diseases of corruption and black money just as one practices yoga to cure one’s ailment.
Addressing the gathering on issues relating to health as well as health of the nation, the swami pointed fingers at corruption and black money for affecting the economic health of the country.
Off late Ramdev has attracted a lot of attention from the media and political parties for his open lecture on corruption. A recent incident last week also added more fumes after the Baba was allegedly abused by a Congress MP from Arunachal Pradesh when the former talked about corruption by the (Congress) government while addressing a spiritual camp at Pasighat in East Siang district. Moreover, it may also be noted that Ramdev has dropped hints of starting off a political party by June this year.
Later talking to media persons, Ramdev maintained that it was his ambition to integrate the country and underscored the importance of unity among the people. Elucidating on his recent visit to the region, the yog guru said that Northeast was an integral part of the country and that the youth of the region should work hard for development. He also further called upon the people of Nagaland not to forget their roots, because of their strong culture and traditions.
