Educators training-cum-children rally: The department of Christian Education SBAK Nito Mount conducted 1st phase of children educators training cum children rally at Saghemi ‘B’ Church from February 21 to 23 under the theme ‘Live an exemplary life’ for Zunheboto and Suruhuto area. The resource persons were Rebecca, child evangelist, Khekani, SSS SBC, Akuluto, Tolibo, director, Christian Education. The programme concluded with a children’s rally. In the training, around 200 children participated in dry flower arrangement, creative decorative craft, theme recitation, Lord’s Prayer with action followed by children procession at the host Church. The department has thanked the host Church for their hospitality through which the programme was successfully conducted.
Several party workers join NPF fold: A group of party workers from the District Youth Congress (DYC) under Zunheboto district led by the president Kiyeyi P Aye and Area Youth Congress president Kasheto Chishi of Suruhuto/Asuto 33 A/C has joined the NPF party. A press release issued by the two party leaders asserted that they unanimously joined the NPF to strengthen the leadership of DAN government. Meanwhile, two active members of NCP from 12 Tseminyu A/C joined the NPF party of Tseminyu division. A release issued by press secretary Hyunilo Khing said that both the members decided to extend full support to parliamentary secretary R Khing.
Condolence service held for late Miasalhou: Officers and staff of Nagaland Civil Secretariat (NCS) held a condolence meeting at secretariat conference hall Kohima on February 22 in memory of late K. Miasalhou, additional secretary labour and employment department who passed away on February 22. Lauding the hard work and sincerity of late Miasalhou during his lifetime, home commissioner J. Alam recalled that late Miasalhou, as an NCS officer, joined service as circle officer in the year 1983 and had served in different assignments. State chief secretary Lalthara, who chaired the meeting also read out condolence messages from various dignitaries. Officers and staff observed a one-minute silence in memory of the departed soul. Nagaland Civil Secretariat staff further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
