Rio lauds Mamata

A day after the Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee presented Railway Budget 2011 -2012 in the Lok Sabha, the state chief minister Neiphiu Rio today congratulated the Railway Minister and said the budget she presented was “truly a national budget which has included development and connectivity projects for all regions of the country.”
Further, terming the Railway Budget as “landmark”, the chief minister, in a letter to Mamata, said: “this is the approach that is required on the part of the government of India for equitable and inclusive growth throughout the length and breadth of India”.
Also, expressing appreciation for her commitment to introduce projects for Nagaland, especially anew train in the form of Dimapur-Guwahati Express and inclusion of Dimapur-Tizit railway line, the chief minister further impressed upon the Railway Ministry if the new Express train could originate from Dimapur in the morning and make a return of Guwahati-Dimapur in the evening. Meanwhile, the state chief minister assured “full fledged” support of the state government in making her initiatives successful “sooner than later.”
