ICFAI conducts talk on corporate career

: ICFAI University Nagaland on Friday conducted a talk on career in corporate sector for its students with senior manager, Oil India Meyabi Arho Niphi as the resource person.
It may be mentioned that Meyabi Arho Niphi was the first Naga to clear MAT and obtain an MBA degree from XLRI.
Addressing the students, the resource person impressed upon the students to have a specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound (SMART) career goals.
Pointing out the technological advancements in various industries, Niphi said the organizations were looking for people who can do things rightly and do the right things.
While laying stress on the importance of hard work, he also emphasized on imbibing proper knowledge, soft skills and attitude (KSA).
“Industries, today, are moving towards Performance Management Systems (PMS) and Performance Related Pay (PRP); so to be successful you need the right KSA” he added.
The other highlights of the programme were release of placement brochure and an interactive session between resource person and students.
