Nagas Nite postponed

Nagas Nite scheduled to be held on February 12 at Ashoka hotel, New Delhi with prime minister Manmohan Singh as the chief guest has been postponed, sources said. Hectic preparations were on for almost a month for the PM’s visit. When contacted, official sources told Nagaland Post that due to the prime minister’s hectic engagements the show had to be postponed. (Spl. Correspondent)
Regional parties moot forum
DIMAPUR, FEB 7 (NPN): Influential regional party leaders of the Northeast have agreed to form a strong regional party forum, Sinlung reports said Monday. Mizoram’s MNF party in a statement said, its president Zoramthanga had a meeting with Nagaland chief minister Neiphu Rio and former Lok Sabha speaker P A Sangma at Nagaland House in New Delhi on February 2 where they mooted the idea of forming a strong forum. The meeting agreed to hold a preliminary meeting at New Delhi on February 20. The party leaders tentatively planned to launch the new forum before the forthcoming Assam state assembly elections the source stated.
