Contribute to society: Rio to youth

Chief minister, Neiphiu Rio has urged the Naga youth to contribute to the society, to be partners and work closely with the government.
Addressing the fifth anniversary of YouthNet (YN) at Heritage, Old DC bungalow, Rio expressed hope that all the people would work together so that the Naga society would march forward with the rest of the world.
He also announced to create a financial support, known as corpus fund for the YouthNet.
Congratulating YN for completing 5 years, Rio lauded the organization for bringing change in the mindset and attitude of the youth. He also congratulated the YouthNet for winning the UN Youth Fund award 2010-11.
The chief minister highlighted various youth oriented programmes of the state government such as the capacity building, year of entrepreneur etc. Rio said the present government was focusing on the youth who were the future. During the programme, Rio released the YouthNet report for the year 2006-11. Planning minister, T. R. Zeliang released the YouthNet ‘Opportunity Express.’
ACS and development commissioner, Alemtemshi Jamir who is a member of the board of advisors YouthNet, urged upon the youth to work harder to achieve bigger things stating that the 21st century was turning out to be the century of the youth.
YouthNet director, Hekani Jakhalu gave a brief report of the organization.
