Kiphire DPDB monthly meeting held

Kiphire district planning and development board (DPDB) monthly meeting was held on Tuesday at deputy commissioner’s chamber Kiphire with chairman DPDB C. Kipili Sangtam MLA and chairman NSMDC chairing the meeting.
The meeting deliberated on proposal for construction of hospital building (PHC) at Seyochung town, construction of two rain water harvesting wells at EAC quarter and one at sub health center under provision of 13 finance commission 2010-11, PDS scheme and construction of pipe line at Kiusam EAC hq.
Kipili said since DPDB meeting was policy making body, all heads of departments should put/share agendas in the meeting for development of department and district.
He also requested station superintendent NST Kiphire to acquire land at Seyochung town for further expansion of departmental works.
Chief medical office while highlighting importance of construction of hospital building at Seyochung lamented the present building was not fit for human habitation, and that a new site should be procured.
Zhetovi Sema advisor of Kiphire town council requested departmental heads to submit proposals of their respective departments in the meeting so it can be worked out accordingly.
Deputy commissioner Kiphire C.M Tsanglao requested all administrative in-charge to look properly after the land in their respective administrative areas.
The board also recommended up-gradation of ADC post at Seyochung town.
