Rotary club and IRCS, Dimapur donate blankets to fire victims

Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Dimapur Branch, and the Rotary Club, Dimapur, visited the victims of the fire incident on February 7 at Naharbari village where 250 families were left homeless.
After ascertaining the number of affected families and households, the society and club distributed 255 woolen blankets to the victims. In a separate release, the state managing committee members of IRCS, Nagaland, and officials of IRCS Dimapur Branch in an emergency meeting at the premises of the District Disability Rehabilitation Centre, Dimapur on January 7 appealed the government, NGOs, other organisations and citizens to donate generously towards the victims.
The society stated the affected persons were mostly daily wage earners, falling under low income group.
