Tuensang DPDB meeting held

Monthly meeting of Tuensang DPDB for the month of February was held on February 8 at DC’s conference hall with deputy commissioner & vice chairman DPDB Tuensang, Y.L. Jami.
The DC announced the house that from next DPDB meeting onward, no subordinate officers other than head of offices would be allowed to represent in the meeting.
The agenda discussed during the meeting were 2nd phase of Census operation 2011 wherein the chairman read out an appeal letter from state chief minister Neiphiu Rio to village council chairman, GBs and members of the village council of Nagaland in connection with importance and success of the 2nd phase Census 2011 and later distributed among the members.
The chairman in his introductory speech on 2nd phase Census operation 2011 briefed the officers on importance and sensitivity of the operation and duties and assignment of official’s sub-division wise was read out.
The chairman also requested members to extend cooperation to those who were not directly involved in the operation. He also informed department officials that Tuensang being a vast district, departmental vehicles may be required for Census operation if necessary and requested cooperation if need arises.
BRGF under Urban Local Bodies (ULB) schemes 2010-11 was approved. Re-electrification of district hospital Tuensang was discussed and approved to execute the work in phase-wise.
