A festival of prayer for spiritual renewal

With just a day left for the much awaited three days prayer festival, massive efforts are being put in by various individuals and groups for success of the programme.
Apart from the organizers and officials, a total of 700 volunteers and 300 counselors will be a part of the group tasked with looking after the three days event. Moreover, accommodation has been made in order to house around 2 lakh people, organizers added.
Giving detailed information about the impending programme, organizers said the programme was being initiated by NBCC as part of the spiritual renewal for platinum celebration of the council. “We want every individual to be blessed and be the change in order to bring change everywhere” asserted T Achumi, pastor of Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church.
While extending invitation to everyone without any discrimination, organizers urged people to come and be a part of the festival. They further added that Christians from all over the country will be attending the programme.
Informing about transportation facilities extended by the organizers, pastor Achumi said a total of 17 buses has been deployed for ferrying believers from various location across Dimapur.
Pick up points for the buses are Ao Kashiram Baptist Church, Dimapur Government College, Signal Basti, Clock Tower, Burma Camp junction, Supermarket (going via Nagarjan), Purana Bazaar, Showuba, Chumukedima (2 buses) and Shoxuvi ARTC. The organizers also assured ticket parking system would be implemented for those bringing their vehicles as a safety measure.
It may be added that the prayer festival will start from 4pm at the recently held Agri Expo site.
For all those who cannot attend, the prayer festival will be telecast live on while NEhifi will telecast the programme live on Sunday, the organizers informed.
Meanwhile, CMD of HN company, Hukato Naga who was also present during the press conference maintained that the festival was being organized to bring change in Nagaland through Christ.
Pointing out that Naga people have lost in many ways, Hukato said leaders of all sections of the society should change in order to have a trickle down effect and bring about a change in the state.
The other organizing members who were present during the press conference were director Nagaland Missions Movement Rev I Wati Longkumer and senior director of Jesus Calls International Ministries (Chennai) C Alexander.
Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, renowned Christian speaker, motivator, Chancellor of Karunya University (Coimbatore) and co-founder and president of Jesus Calls International Ministries (Chennai), will be the main speaker at the festival and Samuel Paul, son of Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, will also be addressing at the event.
Dr. Dhinakaran is also a member of National Committee for Monitoring Minority Education (formed by MHRD) and National Mission for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
Meanwhile, Dr. Dhinakaran will also be inaugurating the Nagaland Prayer Tower on February 11, located at the 1st floor above Axis Bank, Purana Bazar. The prayer tower will be open from 8am to 8pm for people to come for prayer and counseling. One may also contact 03862-224224 from February 14 for prayer request.
Dr. Paul and his team have so far set up 29 Jesus Calls prayer towers in India and abroad and the Nagaland chapter will be the 30th.
