Vet treatment camp held at Zubza
DIMAPUR: Officers and staff of the veterinary hospital Kohima attended the veterinary treatment camp at Zubza on January 5. This camp was organized by the ‘B’ Coy, 20 Assam Rifles. The team of expertise from Veterinary Hospital Kohima was led by Dr. Vivotuo Miachieo, Veterinary Surgeon (VHK). The other officers included Dr. Tali Lepzuk, VAS, Dr. Tolto Metha, VAS, Dr. Keduzol Ltu, VAS and Dr. Ilhovi Swu, VAS. The team also included the Veterinary Field Assistants and staffs Tachowlow, Maongtemjen, Vilalie, Tsuktiemba, Kepeo and Thinuozetuo.Besides attending a number of clinical cases at the venue, several animals were also vaccinated during the camp, by the officers and staff.
Medical camp at Aboi town
DIMAPUR: 1 Assam Rifles conducted free medical camp at Aboi town on February 3 under aegis of Headquarters 7 Sector Assam Rifles. According to a defence release, a team comprising of two doctors and medical staff conducted the camp. A total of 589 patients including ladies and children received free medical treatment and free medicines. The camp was conducted from morning till evening to attend to patients who had come from far away villages. The camp was a huge success and the villagers and civil administration praised the noble gesture of the Assam Rifles.
St Augustine school, Zbto: Principal, staff and St Augustine school, Zunheboto has expressed its deepest condolence at the demise of a great educationist among the Sumi’s, Niholi Shohe who passed away at Kohima.
ASU: Asuto Students’ Union (ASU) has expressed grief on the untimely demise of GB Asuto town, Yehoi Tishicca on February 4. ASU further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
EUUN: Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN), has mourned the untimely demise of Niholi Shohe, wife of Nihozhe Shohe, former president, EUUN.
Coco area: Coco Area Students’ Union and Coco Area Joint Council has condoled the demise of Niholi Shohe, GHSS Zunheboto principal, who passed away on February 5 at Kohima. The organizations conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family members.
GPRN/NSCN ban sale of ‘guthkas’, alcohol
DIMAPUR: GPRN/NSCN Rengma region has issued an “order” banning the sale of all kinds of ‘guthka’ and alcohol within its jurisdiction.NSCN/GPRN Rengma region chairman Vikuto Semy has, in a press release, directed all suppliers and sellers of those items to stop dealing with the same with immediate effect. It cautioned that stern action would be taken on defulters. Meanwhile, Semy stated that the region had conducted surprise checking at Tseminyu sub-division on February 4 and found that many officials were absent in their duties “without valid reason”. The NSCN/GPRN Rengma region cautioned that stern action would be initiated on erring official if found absent from duty during its next checking.
NCP Kohima members join NPF
KOHIMA: NCP Kohima district led by president, Duopielie Sote along with some of his colleagues on Tuesday submitted their resignation to join NPF party.
NCP members who joined NPF include Duopielie Sote, president, Kohima District, Ketoukhrienuo, secretary state unit, Atsunuo, president, Mahila Kohima district, Neikekhrienuo, secretary, Mahila Kohima district, P. Avi-u, treasurer, Mahila Kohima district and Ruopfunuo, secretary, Kohima district. NPF Kohima division extended gratitude and welcomed them to NPF party.
The resigned members unanimously decided to join the NPF to strengthen the party and support chief minister Neiphiu Rio and Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu, president NPF.
NPF Kohima: NPF Kohima division has felicitated Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, minister for UD, Higher Education, on achieving “Lifetime Achievement Award” by International Association of Educators for World Peace on February 3 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The party stated Dr. Liezietsu had contributed in field of education, literary works, politics, social and culture and also contributed in introducing Tenyidie to the highest level.
