Two days after the Naga National Workers Peoples Support Group (NNWPSG) led by its convener said it had joined the GPRN/NSCN for reconciliation, the Naga army of the NSCN (I-M) Wednesday said the NNWPSG or PSG led by their ‘commander’ ‘Major’ Dali has merged with it group. ‘Col.’ Levi Zimik PRO/GHQ, Naga Army said ‘Major’ Dali along with his lieutenants were warmly received by the ‘commander’ of the Huthrong Brigade, Naga Army at its headquarters in Tahamzam (Senapati) on Tuesday. “We were in different camps for few years due to some misunderstandings. Now that the issues of difference have been sorted out and the common vision clearly set before us, there is no sensible reason why we should remain separated,” stated ‘Major’ Dali according to the Naga army statement. It was also stated that except for few members of the NNWPSG who ‘ran’ to Khehoi camp in search of opportunity, the rest of the soldiers along with arms “returned home joyfully.” The Naga army said that the time has come for the Nagas to reconcile and embrace one another and termed the” merger of the NNWPSG or PSG with the parent body, NSCN” as a significant development. With this new development, it is now assumed that the NNWPSG or PSG split and joined the NSCN (I-M) and GPRN/NSCN.
