Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) exam 2011 being conducted by Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) began today in the state.
A team of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) executives visited some examination centers at Dimapur and interacted with authorities of institutions and remarked that almost all the centers were being conducted in a “well equipped environment”.
Union however expressed concern that, with the commencement of NBSE exams, some exam centers were compelled to give holidays to the rest of the classes of the schools to create conducive environment, and subsequently burdened school authorities to complete courses of syllabus within the time frame. It stated that certain measures should be adopted by the respective centers, so that regular classes of the institutions would not be hampered. Dimapur Naga Students’ Union also informed that it would be conducting inspections within its jurisdiction and requested cooperation from the exam centers.
In Mokokchung, a total of 609 candidates in Arts, Commerce and Science streams have begun to sit for HSSLC exam 2011 in three examination centers- Mokok-A, Mokok-B and Tuli, and 169 candidates appearing HSSLC old course.
According to an official bulletin, the district administration has reportedly deployed three administrative officers headed by Kesonyu Yhome, IAS SDO (C) to ensure that examination was conducted peacefully. At least five security personnel have been placed in each examination centers to provide security to the examination officials and examinees.
Meanwhile, NBSE’s High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination 2011 has been scheduled to commence on February 11.
