CRPF killer of natl. kabaddi player dies

CRPF jawan, who fired at himself after gunning down a national-level woman kabaddi player, succumbed of his injuries here, officials said today. Jaswan Singh, who was critically wounded, died yesterday at the Patna Medical College Hospital, Superintendent of the hospital O P Choudhary said.
He had shot dead Manisha (21), near Bahadurpur railway crossing here, from his AK-47 on February 9 after she refused to share her mobile number with him. The CRPF man later fired at himself.
Manisha’s family, who are natives of a village in Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh, had yesterday taken her body to the state for cremation. Singh was posted at the CRPF camp at Moinul Haq Stadium here, where Manisha, who was also a railway employee, had gone to attend practice sessions for the 34th National Games in Jharkhand beginning February 12.
