Train partially cancelled; new coaches added

In view of a bandh called by GJMM, train services have been affected in the Alipurduar Jn Siliguri Jn section.
Trains that have been cancelled, partially cancelled, short terminated are 14083, 14084 Sikkim Mahananda Express running between Delhi - Alipurduar Junction will be short terminated at Katihar and will remain cancelled between Katihar and Alipurduar Jn from February 12 until further advice.
Train number 13149, 13150 Kanchan Kanya Express running between Sealdah - Alipurduar Jn. will be short terminated at New Jalpaiguri and will remain cancelled between New Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar Jn. From February 11 until further advice.
Train number 13247, 13248, Capital express running between Kamakhya Jn.- Danapur will be short terminated at New Jalpaiguri and will remain cancelled between New Jalpaiguri and Kamakhya Jn. until further advice.
Meanwhile the bandh called by “GJMM” has resulted in congestion of train over New Jalpaiguri and New Bongaigaon section.
Accordingly Northeast Frontier Railway, authority have cancelled train number 55713 / 55714 Bongaigaon – New Jalpaiguri passenger train with effect from February 11 until further advice.
Meanwhile, an additional sleeper class coach has been added to Saraighat dxpress 12345/12346 running between Guwahati and Howrah. According to chief public relations officer, S. Hajong, the extra coach has been added from Howrah with effect from February 8 and from Guwahati with effect from February 9.
Two more sleeper class coaches run by 14055 / 14056 Brahmaputra Mail between New Jalpaiguri and Delhi will run up at Dibrugarh with effect from February 13 without detaching them at New Jalpaiguri. Booking of berths in the sleeper class coaches between New Jalpaiguri and Dibrugarh would be done locally.
