Thousands turn up for prayer festival

The three-day Nagaland Prayer Festival began here at the Agri-Expo ground with around ten thousand attending the first evening’s service which began at 4 p.m.
Dr.Paul Dhinakaran in his message, said Jesus Christ was the only answer who can wipe away the tears and sorrows of the people.
Dr Paul said that the Holy Spirit was present and God was willing to heal those who sought Him. Dr Paul pointed out that it was not him but Christ who loves and heals the hurting and the sick.
Dr Paul sang a gospel song in Nagamese, ‘Jesus is calling you’ as he reached out to those in need of Christ’s touch.
Scores responded to the call to receive healing in the name of Jesus Christ while several also confirmed of the healing through testimony.
Earlier, the service started off with the praise and worship being taken up by the Sinai ministry led by its director Wabang Longchari. While Samuel Paul, son of Dr Paul, also led the praise and worship along with the Sinai team.
Rev I Wati Longkumer delivered the welcome address. Rev Dr Anjo Keikung general secretary NBCC in his greetings message disclosed that the prayer festival was a run up to the 75th anniversary of the NBCC in 2012 with the objective of spiritual renewal. Prayer warriors went around the venue offering prayers on behalf of the people.
The three days festival which started off on Friday will end on Sunday evening. The services begin at 4 p.m. each day.
This is Dr.Paul Dhinakaran’s second visit to Dimapur.He had also been to Kohima during 1998 with his late father Dr.DGS Dhinakaran.
The three-day service is co-hosted by a few individuals.
