An assessment team from Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) Dimapur.
The team comprised of Dr. Tanya Seshadri, Dr. Viu Meru, consultant community health and Dr. Atsung Aier visited Tuensang on March 9. The assessment was an initiative of state department of health and family welfare, assigning CIHSR to conduct ‘training need assessment’ of government doctors at various levels in the state.
The CIHSR team has embarked on the assessment exercise of the medical officers (MOs) at various levels in the 11 districts of Nagaland.
Starting their journey from Dimapur, the team has visited Peren, Phek, Zunheboto, Wokha and Kiphire before coming to Tuensang.
Basing on questionnaires given to MOs and health workers, the team planned to structure a training course suiting the immediate and vital needs in the health sector. The team would be heading for Mokokchung and Longleng for the next leg of their assessment.
