Rio lauds people of state

Conveying his most sincere appreciation to the people of state for “flawless and highly successful” arrangements made for the visit of President of India Pratibha Patil, Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio today said what truly marked the occasion was the spontaneous response of public who turned up in large numbers at Kisama to accord a civic reception to the visiting President Pratibha Patil Thursday. A communiqué issued by state chief secretary Lalthara conveyed the chief minister’s gratitude and appreciation to the governor, his wife and the Raj Bhavan staffs for meticulously and comfortably hosting the President and her entourage. The chief minister also thanked all members of the assembly, government department officials, state government agencies, tribal Hohos, NGOs, civil societies, neighbouring villages of Kisama Heritage village, who made out all efforts and significant contribution in making the visit of the president a grand success, the release stated. “The chief minister thanks all of them and looks forward to similar level of contribution and cooperation from all sections of the society in the years ahead,” it said.
