59th ACCC Sitimi-Seyochung Kiphire district has clarified to the press statements which appeared in the local dailies on February 23 and February 24 regarding NPF Kiphire welcoming congress party workers.
The ACCC president Selongba Sangtam and general secretary C. Bendang Mongzar stated in a press release issued here, that the designation of the members mentioned in the press statements were incorrect and clarified that Aseba of Yingphir village was a teacher posted at GPS Yingphir; Tsasemong of Thangthure- ‘jugali’ in electrical department at Yingphir; Throngsekyu of Thangthure village- BYE President at Thangthure and not executive member.
It also clarified that the post of ‘advisor’ did not exist in the congress party and Vitokhu claiming to be advisor was “his own creation”, whereas, Kiato head GB Lukhami was with the NPF party since the 2008 general elections.
59th ACCC alleged that the “employed persons” and others unknown to the congress party office were taking the name and designation on their own to tarnish the image of the congress party under 59th ACCC. Political parties entertaining those “middle men” without verifying their actual identities have no constitution of their own, the party added.
