‘Northeast Spring Festival’ from March 16

North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) would be organising ‘North East Spring Festival’ – a mega Northeast-centric carnival from March 16-20 at NEZCC grounds, Dimapur.
According to director, NEZCC, Som Kamei, international dance troupes from Myanmar; Northeast Book Fair, Lou Majaw would be adding sheen to NEZCC carnival.
Besides 500 participating artistes, the festival would also have something for book lovers in the form of a Northeast Book Fair, which would be organized by NEZCC in association with the National Book Trust.
The note also added that the major features of ‘North East Spring Festival’ 2011 would include folk dance choreography show on March 16 and 17, ethnic costume show of the northeast on March 18, theatre show by stage fusion and puppet show from Rajasthan on March 19, choral singing and fusion music (Mizoram, Nagaland and Lou Majaw from Shillong) international folk dance performances from Myanmar on March 16, Northeast Indian crafts bazaar from March 16 to 20, traditional ethnic food court from March 16 to 20, book fair in association with National Book Trust on March 14 to March 20; Northeast poetry meet from March 17 to 19, folk dances from 8 North East Indian States.
