WYH react to TTC’s statement
DIMAPUR: Western Yimchungrü Hoho (WYH) has reacted to a press release issued by Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC) president Topan K. Tikhir and council chairman Dioto on division of Yimchungrü tribe with the formation of Saramati Region, and termed the statement as misguiding and assassinating the character of its member. Urging the two TTC members to talk on issues in a round table, than issung “explosive articles” through the media, the Western Yimchungrü Hoho in this connection asked the two members to apologise within one week time from the date of issuing this press statement though the media. Failing which, the Hoho said it would be compelled to initiate legal action.
Village-wise population figures
DIMAPUR: Senior “Kilonser”, ministry of information & publicity and chief election commissioner of “Nagalim”, A.Z. Jami notified central administrative officers (CAOs) and executive officers (Eos) to collect ‘village-wise’ population figures from their respective regions/ Union Territories (UTs) through their respective “Khapur” and “Raju-Peyus” and submit it to the election commissioner of “Nagalim” on or before April 15. Stating the notification pertained to election matters, the notification issued through MIP appealed the central administrative officers (CAOs) and executive officers (Eos) of “Nagalim” to give prompt and urgent attention with utmost sincerity. The notification also stated that no separate notification would be issued from the office of the chief election commissioner of “Nagalim”.
Sensitization programme on disability and rehabilitation
DIMAPUR: The Indian Red Cross Society, Dimapur Branch, along with the National Institute for the Orthopedically Handicapped, Kolkata (under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment) would be organizing a two-day state level sensitization programme on disability and rehabilitation on March 15 and 16 at NH-39 Auditorium, Padampukhri, Dimapur. Commissioner and secretary to the Government of Nagaland, A. S. Bhatia would grace the occasion as chief guest. Various dignitaries from within and outside the state will be addressing the participants during the 2-day programme. All invitees have been requested to reach Dimapur by March 15, 10am for registration at the venue and to contact 9862571609 for any clarification.
World Consumer rights’ day: The department of legal metrology and consumer protection and consumer society Dimapur district would be observing ‘World Consumer Rights Day’ on March 15, 9:30am at Millennium market complex, Dimapur. The day would be marked under the theme ‘Consumer! Discharge your responsibilities! Assert your rights’.
ZBA church crusade: Zeme Baptist Church, Nsong town (ZBA) Nagaland would be organizing a Church crusade from March 24-27 with R Tali Imchen, missionary (ZBA) Nagaland and Salu, pastor, Lalong Baptist Church as councilor. All Christian believers have been requested to attend the crusade.
Applicants for livestock and poultry development informed: District Veterinary & A H officer, Tuensang district has informed all applicants applied under livestock and poultry development under Tuensang district that oral interview would be held on March 16, 9:30am at district veterinary office, Tuensang.
Cataract screening camp held: As part of the activities of National Programme for Control of Blindness (NPCB) a cataract screening was held on March 10 at primary health centre, Kohima village. The camp was organized by district health society (NPCB) Kohima district. Altogether 42 patients were screened, around 10 patients were asked to report for EYE OPD at Naga Hospital Kohima for cataract surgery. These patients would be provided free surgery with intraocular lens (IOL) implant including free medicines.
Contraband ganja and drugs destroyed: A total of 766.675kgs of ganja, 100kgs of ephedrine and other psychotropic substances were destroyed by Customs Preventive division at Chathe River on March 12.
Kangbau cultural seminar: Cultural seminar organized by Kangbau will be held on April 23 at the residence of Paukwerangbe Reunim Burma Camp from 8am. All members of Benreului Kangbau and BKD youth have been invited to attend the seminar.
Food processing EDPs applicants informed: NECON has informed all applicants of food processing EDPs for Dimapur, Medziphema and Diphupar to meet the branch in-charge on March 14 with relevant documents. NECON further stated that new applications for Kohima and Chumukedima will be accepted till further notifications.
ACCC 1 Dmr I coordination meeting: A coordination meeting of ACCC 1 Dimapur I will be held on March 15 at Congress Bhavan. All office bearers of ACCC, AMCC, AYC, DCC executives, NPMCC, DMCC, Ward office bearers of parent body, Mahila and youth workers, Seva Dal representatives, minority cell, NSUI and senior party leaders under 1 Dimapur I A/C have been requested to attend the meeting.
Book on Idioms and Phrases’ released: Director NEZCC, Som Kamie on Saturday released a book on ‘Idioms and Phrases’ . The book is authored by Noel Manuel, Director of Dimensions. the launching programme of the book was alsoattended by Jacob Yanthan SDO, Agri at Dimension centre, Naharbari,Saturday.
